zafar ahmed khan is a young Arab-American writer and speaker. zafar was born in New York and grew up in a large family. He attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, graduated from Columbia University, and earned an MA from New York University. He has written for Tablet Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, and The Atlantic.

I’ve been going to Israel for about two years now. In January of this year I received an email from the president of the United States. This is a big deal. It means he was no longer an American citizen. It means he was no longer an American official. It means he was no longer an official of the Israeli government. It means he was no longer an official of the Israeli embassy.

The reason behind this decision is the same one that we had with Colt. It’s not just that Colt’s government had no idea what he was doing.
