I was at a party recently and one of the women was talking about the first time she ever went to college and it was a year ago. So, I asked her, “What was your first memory of college?” and she started to answer, “Well, I remember being there for the first time.” I said, “So? What was it?” She said, “Oh, I went to my first class on the first day.
That’s right. Her first class was History, the course she chose. And if you look at college, there are two types of history: there is the academic kind and there is the real thing. Your real college experience will be different than your academic one. You will be in a room and the teacher will be standing at a lectern and talking to you. In the same way that your first day of college will be different than your second, it will also be different from your third.
I think I have my three majors pretty well mapped out. The two in the academic world are History and English and there are three more in the English field. I think the third is actually just a little science. I’m not sure if science majors have a class like this or not, but that’s okay.
You don’t need to know anything about the world to be an English major. I had a teacher once who said that “most of the world” don’t know the meaning of the word “English.” I’ve been a teacher for three years, and I’ve never heard anyone say that. I guess I’ll have to keep that in mind as I study it in class.
I guess what I’m saying is that English is a lingua franca used by people all over the world. Everyone speaks English. Everyone is a native speaker of English. I mean, if you have a friend who speaks the language, they would know that.
What I’m getting at is that while English is a very widely spoken language, it doesn’t really mean anything. Its a language used for everyday life, but it’s just not part of the vocabulary, and it’s not a language we use to communicate with one another. We use English for specific reasons like ordering a pizza, or taking a picture on our cell-phone, but we don’t use it to communicate with others.
We use English to communicate with others, but its not a language we use to communicate with one another.
We can use English, but it doesnt really mean anything. Its a language used for everyday life, but its just not part of the vocabulary, and its not a language we use to communicate with one another.
In a recent interview, juyal castel, the creator of juyal, talked about a few concepts of juyal that are part of the language we use to communicate with others. One of those concepts is about the difference between what you say and what you mean. And one of the ideas about juyal is about the difference between what you say and what you mean. I think that’s an important concept to understand in order to understand juyal.
